The 'Magic Bullet' Theory
The famous "Magic Bullet" theory was devised by those administrating the Warren Commission to explain the injuries sustained by Kennedy and Connally. Oswald fired a bullet that went through Kennedy and also wounded Connally. However, in the Warren Commission, the way in which they tried explaining their theory gets a bit ridiculous.
With the "Magic Bullet", Governor Connally is seated directly in front of the President and at the same level. The bullet entered Kennedy's back at 1,700 feet per second, exited his neck at 1,500 feet per second, swerved in mid-air and hit Connally in the back, broke one of his ribs which caused the bullet to swerve exited just below his right nipple, slowed to 900 feet per second and entered Connally's right wrist, exited through his palm, slowed to 400 feet per second, swerved again, and went into Connally's left thigh, buried itself in his leg, and then fell out at Parkland Hospital where hospital engineer Darrell Tomlinson found the bullet on Connally's gurney.
With the "Single Bullet", President Kennedy is sitting on a raised seat and Connally is lower and to the left on front of him. With each impact the bullet has on flesh and bone, the velocity slows down until it can move no further than Connally's left thigh. When the bullet shattered Connally's rib, the trajectory slightly changed.
